Power To Choose

Commander John Herrington

In 2002, Cmdr. John Herrington was the first Native American to go to space. He participated in 3 spacewalks and played a role in building the International Space Station.  His journey to become an astronaut might surprise you (Hint...he was kicked out of college for skipping too much!).  To find out why he was skipping class, watch this one hour webinar  recorded Sept. 11, 2014 in Calgary, Alberta Canada. This webinar was made possible through AWSN's partnership with Beakerhead and Partners in Research.
